Connecting the dots

Women’s health is rarely shaped by one single factor. Calma Collective connects evidence, expert perspectives, lived experience and embodied practices to create a more complete understanding of health and wellbeing.

My background

Calma Collective grew out of my own search for health and wellbeing. After experiencing COVID-19, pregnancy and burnout within a short period of time, I was left with persistent symptoms and struggled to find the answers or support I needed through conventional healthcare.

Health had already been at the heart of my professional life for many years. I worked on product innovation and the business side of health technology at Philips and within healthtech start-ups, both in the Netherlands and internationally. This taught me to approach health with curiosity, to ask critical questions and to look for solutions grounded in clinical evidence and real human needs.

My mission

My personal search introduced me to inspiring experts and practitioners from different disciplines. It also led me to yoga.

Today, I am a certified yoga teacher and currently studying yoga therapy: an integrative approach that brings together the traditional wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda with insights from modern Western medicine.

This journey has deepened my belief in holistic health — combining evidence and lived experience, and understanding the whole person rather than treating symptoms in isolation. I see my role not as having all the answers, but as asking the right questions, recognising meaningful connections and bringing valuable expertise and perspectives together.

Calma Collective is my way of sharing what I have learned and bringing together the experts and perspectives that helped me along the way — so other women don’t have to connect all the dots alone.

The whole picture of health

Health is shaped by more than a single symptom or test result.

Calma Collective brings evidence, expert perspectives and lived experience together to understand the whole person — and turn that understanding into meaningful support for everyday life.

See the whole person

Health data and test results can offer valuable insights, but only when understood in the right context. In future Calma programs, where relevant, results interpreted by qualified professionals may be considered alongside symptoms, lifestyle, personal needs and stage of life. Each piece tells part of the story; together, they can create a clearer picture.

Connect different perspectives

Calma is being developed as a collective that brings together expertise from different disciplines — connecting modern health knowledge with yoga therapy, body awareness and the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda.

Put understanding into practice

Insight becomes meaningful when it can be experienced and applied. Through yoga today — and evidence-informed programs as they develop — Calma aims to help women explore what supports them and translate that understanding into realistic choices for everyday life.

Calma today

Calma Collective is a work in progress.

Calma’s first evidence-informed women’s health programs are currently in development. Yoga is already available through group classes, private sessions and tailored sessions for organisations.
